Former OSU football player and Tulsa native, Dan Riggs, moved to Kansas to begin his career in providing sport surfaces and equipment. In 1983, Dan founded Riggs Recreation Equipment, Inc., after working for a local company recoating tennis courts. He strived to ensure that customers were beyond satisfied with the quality, professionalism, and hard work that Riggs Recreation provides.

 

After 30 years in business, Riggs Recreation truly became a family-owned company when Dan’s daughter, Ashley Peterson, joined the company after graduating from Baker University.

 

Riggs Recreation prides itself in providing quality commercial recreational equipment and installations for Schools, Municipalities, Home Associations, Religious Organizations, Multi-family housing and more. The company is based out of Leawood, Kansas with an office in Lenexa, Kansas. Areas covered include the entire State of Kansas and Western Missouri.
